Grill Cleaning FAQs

I was doing pressure cleaning work when someone asked me to clean their BBQ grill with the pressure cleaner and I made a huge mess, I knew there was a better way. I quickly realized nobody in my area offered this type of service so I did some research and opened up my company with the help of another BBQ grill cleaning company from the Midwest.

A professional grill cleaning safely and effectively removes traces of grease, fat and burnt on carbon deposits sterilizing all cooking surfaces thus eliminating carcinogens and bacteria. By maintaining and cleaning your grill you won’t need to have it repaired as often or replaced.

The right equipment – We use a unique cleaning system and invested in the top of the line cleaning equipment. While some cleaners around the country clean the grill by manually scrubbing or using a pressure washer, we know these are not the best methods to truly get your grill clean. We use a unique environmentally-friendly steam cleaning system that safely and effectively removes years of baked on grease and carbon deposits transforming your BBQ grill back to its original state.

Cleaning Solutions – There are a number of cleaners on the market to degrease and polish your grill. Most cleaners you buy off the shelf are either too weak to clean or are bad for your grill and your health. For your health and benefit we use only bio-degradable and fume free cleaning products. Our cleaning solutions can outperform any cleaner on the market yet are completely safe for you and your children.

Quality & Training – We ve spent many months perfecting the system of cleaning your grill. We have attended classes from the manufactures on repair and maintenance of the different grills out there and we stock basic parts. Not all grills are made the same and some have different grades of stainless steel – different grades clean differently, so having the training in the makes and models helps clean and maintain more effectively.

We use our own unique and advanced system of steam and soaking that safely and effectively removes all traces or grease, fat and carbon deposits by using proper cleaners and cleaning techniques. No other BBQ cleaner can guarantee a cleaner BBQ than we can!

Our cleaners are environmentally friendly, bio-degradable, caustic free and fume free. They don’t contain any acids that can stain or etch your grill. We have to handle the cleaners all day so its important to us that not only are they safe for you and your family, but they would be safe for us as well.

We can guarantee your grill will be cleaner than when we arrived. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee how clean your grill will be when we get done. There are so many variables that can affect how clean your grill can get like the age of your grill, how dirty it is, the grade of stainless steel, what type of grilling you do. While we can generally get most of the grease and build-up off what we can’t remove is the rust, deep metal burns and age. We simply cannot remove the rust from the metal. If you have a Weber grill the cast aluminum fire box is extremely difficult to clean and will remain black and stained forever.

Rust on stainless steel? I thought stainless steel didn’t rust? Stainless Steel does rust depending on the manufacture and grade of metal being used. The lesser the grade of stainless steel will be more prone to rusting in Florida. If your lid or fire box has significant rust damage it may require replacement. We won’t see the rust damage until we scrape away the ash and debris. If it is too severe to clean we will let you inspect it before continuing on.

That’s certainly your choice, but I would suggest having it cleaned first and you might find its not as bad as you thought. Everyone thinks their grill is the worst we’ve ever seen and in some cases they are right, but in all cases they have been surprised with the results of the cleaning. I have never had a customer tell me they wish they had thrown it out instead of having me clean it. A cleaning certainly costs less than buying a new grill and new grills never fit in the same hole as the last one making you hire a contractor to retro-fit your counters.

Yes, we do! We have the common parts for the common grills. If you have an older grill or need specialized parts we will have to order them and come back to install them. All repairs will incur a $60 labor rate. The price for the parts are my cost plus shipping.

Depending on the size and condition of the grill. Most grills will take 2 ½ to 3 hours to clean. If I have to repair the grill or I am cleaning other appliances extra time will be added.

This is one of the most common questions we get asked. We have some customers who have us out quarterly, some twice a year and others yearly. It all depends on how often you use your BBQ grill and how you want it to look. We suggest at least twice a year, once in the fall and again in the spring. If you close your house down for the summer, then get it cleaned before you leave. We always recommend getting it cleaned before that big backyard party or any one of the special BBQ cooking holidays – Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day.

This is another question we get asked a lot. There are a few things we recommend you can do in-between cleanings, but no matter how diligent you are there will come a time when you just can’t keep up with the grease build-up and a professional cleaning will be required again.

  • Keep your grilled covered when not in use.
  • Use a clean metal wire brush after you grill to remove the food particles – especially if you cook with sauces. Don’t let the sauces sit on the grates as they contain acids and will rust the grates.
  • Clean out your drip tray.
  • Occasionally soak your grates in a tub of hot water and Dawn dish soap. This will help loosen the tough baked-on particles.
  • Store your grill in the garage when you head north for the summer.
  • Wipe the grates down with Pam to help prevent the rust from forming.
  • What else do you clean?

Treasure Coast Grill Cleaning also cleans Ovens. We use the same techniques to clean an oven as we do a BBQ grill. The oven door comes off and we clean in between the glass, all racks get cleaned and the side and the roof of the oven get cleaned. Don’t use the self clean feature and have your whole house smell, not getting the sides clean and leaving that white residue on the bottom. Have us come out and use our unique system and fume free chemicals to clean your oven.

Anything stainless steel we can clean and polish, such as vent hoods, coolers, drawers, refrigerators and sinks

For your convenience we accept all forms of payment to include Cash, Checks and Credit Cards. For all credit card orders we add a 3% surcharge to the total transaction due to the processing fee we get charged.
